Plans are in place to expand this program in the coming year.Our membership grew during the year by 4,252, setting a new record for the total numberof members we serve. That growth was weighted towards Farm and Commercial policies inkeeping with our goals.TheDeSmetteammembersmadethetransitiontoemployeesofGoodvilleMutualCasualty Company and successfully transitioned the De Smet personal auto line of businessto a cloud-based modern platform.Whilechallengesremain,Impleasedtosharethatthestrongyearwilldeliverasolidunderwriting gain and an increase in surplus, allowing us to continue investing in the businessand serving more members. Additionally, AM Best reaffirmed our A rating, the Wards Grouprecognized the Group among the Top 50 well-run P&C companies in the country for the 16thconsecutiveyear,andGoodvillewasonceagainnamedtotheBestPlacestoWorkinbothPennsylvaniaandOhio!Theseachievementswouldnotbepossiblewithoutourcommittedteam of employees and the ongoing support of our agents and members!As we begin our centennial year, our team remains focused on serving both our members andagents, with a strong commitment to our mutual success!David C.
